Epson WF-4743: replace the maintenance box, not the counter
The WF-4743 collects waste ink in a replaceable maintenance box with a chip (T6715). When the box is full, the fix is a new box. No reset software, ours included, applies to this model.
How the WF-4743 tells you
When its maintenance box is full, the WF-4743 stops printing and asks you to replace the maintenance box. The count is kept on the box's chip, which is why a new box clears the message.
What to do
- Check the code printed on the box in your printer. It should read T6715.
- Buy a replacement T6715 box. Genuine Epson boxes and compatible boxes with a new chip are both sold.
- Swap the box following your printer's manual. The printer reads the new chip and the message clears.
