Try one Epson reset for free
Every printer gets one free trial reset. If the waste ink counter is at 90% or above, the trial lowers it to 85%. The error clears and the printer prints again, so you can see the tool work on your own machine before paying anything.

Why it needs 90% or more
If the counter is at 60 or 70%, lowering it to 85% would not lower anything, and you would lose your only trial. The tool blocks the trial below 90% so it is not wasted.
How to run it
- Download the tool, unzip it and run
VNIT_Reset.exe. - Connect the printer with a USB cable and press Check. The computer needs internet.
- If the counter is at 90% or more, press the free trial button.
- Switch the printer off, then on again. It only reads the new counter after a restart.
Why not just use a free cracked tool?
Search results for free Epson resetters are full of cracked copies of service software. Some older ones do not recognise newer printers, and cracked downloads are a common way to get malware onto a computer. The trial gives you a free, working reset from the people who make the tool, with support if something goes wrong.
Questions about the trial
Can I use the free trial twice?
No. Each printer gets one trial, counted on our server, so reinstalling the tool does not add another. If the trial fails part-way, it is not counted.
Does the tool need an internet connection?
Yes. The standard version downloads the settings for your exact printer model from our server each time, so it needs internet even to read the counter. Repair shops that work offline can ask about the technician version.
I reset the counter but the printer still shows the error.
Switch the printer off, wait a few seconds, and switch it back on. The printer only reads the new counter after a restart.
Does a reset clean the ink pads?
No. It resets the number the printer counts, not the pads. If the pads are soaked, wash and dry them, replace them, or fit an external waste ink tank, otherwise ink can overflow later. What to do with the pads.
